Update MayoNav from 1.6.0 to 1.7.0. Replace the files, including the new locales folder.
From 1.6.0 to 1.7.0. See what's new in the changelog.
This takes about 3 minutes. Your config, place lists and everything edited in game are kept. MayoNav now comes in five languages, with the texts in a new locales folder.
1. Back up
Copy your whole mayo_nav folder somewhere safe first, especially config.lua and the data folder.
2. Download 1.7.0
Download mayo_nav 1.7.0 from the CFX portal under Granted Assets.
3. Replace the files
- Stop the resource, or stop the server.
Copy the new files over your old
mayo_navfolder, replacing them, except these, which you keep:config.lua- your edited
places_*.luafiles - the
datafolder
- Make sure the new
localesfolder is copied too. Without it, the map and widget show text keys such aspostal.titleinstead of words.
4. Pick a language (optional)
Without this line MayoNav stays in English, so you can skip it. To set the language, paste this under Config.AccentColor:
-- Language of the map, navigation and notifications: a file in locales/ ('en', 'fr', 'es', 'de', 'nl').
-- For another language, copy locales/en.lua to locales/<code>.lua, translate the texts and set its code here.
Config.Locale = 'en'Change 'en' to 'fr', 'es', 'de' or 'nl'. See Languages for what's translated and how to add your own language.
5. Start the server
Restart the server, or run refresh and then ensure mayo_nav in the console.
6. Check it works
- The console shows no errors from
mayo_nav. - The version line in
fxmanifest.luasays1.7.0. - Open the map (
F7): the buttons and the help window are in the language you set. - Start a route: the turn-by-turn directions are in that language too.
- With a language other than English, distances show a decimal comma and the arrival time a 24-hour clock.
